The lithium battery pak requires less maintenance than the SLA battery pak since it never requires recharging.

A new lithium battery pak may last up to 4 years when installed in the LIFEPAK 500 AED under optimal conditions and no patient use.

Note: this battery is not approved for use on aircraft. Please use the other lithium battery (P/N 3005380-027), which has FAA approval for use on aircraft.
