Type of Forcep
Holding
Although most holding forceps are "bone holding" there are also tissue and towel holding. Bone holding are sturdy forceps with curved jaws which grasp bones or fragments during surgery.
Tissue
Used to grasp soft and bony tissue or to assist with closing wounds. Available in various lengths and number of teeth. The most common tip is 1x2 teeth.
